Places of Worship
No more need you warm your hands at the fires of hope, yet drink so deeply from the cup of despair. Well not in Ochi anyway... for Religion is an important part of Jamaican life, so, whatever lights your candle, you should be well catered for.*
Around 60% of followers are Christian, including Pentecostals, various Churches of God, Baptists, and so on. Roughly 20% follow other religions and, surprisingly, Rastafarians represent only a small number, and not all ‘Rastas’ follow the beliefs, some just live for the vibe!
*The nearest Synagogues are at Montego Bay and Kingston, however, so you might have to set off a bit earlier.
